Promote
Your Shop
Featured Booksellers will appear on each of our bookshop directory's
10 regional introduction pages. Your business will be featured for
one month and then randomly rotated with other submitted shops. All
previous 'features' will remain accessible via the current one and
by a link from your own entry in the guide.
This
is a free opportunity to promote the bricks and mortar side
of your business, which should be the subject of 250-500 words and
up to 3 photos. For
example, there are 305 words on this page
excluding captions and contact details. We
don't want to be prescriptive about your content but suggest that
you cover at least some of the following:
- Who
and where you are
- Why
you do it
- Your
specialities
- Favourite
books
- Amusing
stories
-
Best buys
- Unusual
purchases

What
Next
Just e-mail
or post your copy and photos
(please bear in mind that close ups tend to work better when
scanned than distance shots). You should also be prepared
to allow us to crop or re-size the scanned images to aid page
layout and to edit the text if necessary.
It really
is that easy! You don't have to worry about the pictures or
technical stuff (we can turn ordinary photos into optimised
web images in a few minutes and will take care of the html
formatting). All you need be concerned with is producing the
text to promote your business.
