Welsh interest etc. Book search service available. Browsers very
welcome in bright, accessible shop at the bottom of hill to Aberystwyth

Unimpressive - but worth it because it
is only a few doors away from Andy's Records, Aberystwyth's last
independent record store - which is certainly worth visiting.

'Unimpressive' is the right word. - Corso

Owner helpful. Reasonable priced stock.
- Roger Leeke 09.02.09.
Asked on entry about where to find any older
titles. Told: "Anything we get that's worth over £10 we sell straightaway
to dealers. They would never reach our shelves." Only quality items
seen on browsing were Welsh, particularly those on local matters.
- Chris Harte 03.09.09.
Excellent Bookshop! Owner was friendly and
helpful, with some real treasures found for a very reasonalble price.
I left with a full bag! - Catherine James 13.10.09.

About 10,000 books on many subects including Wales/Cymraeg, natural
history, railways, art and crafts, cookery, Penguins, science, poetry,
plays etc, etc. On the main A487 (between Cardigan & Fishguard) in
the centre of Newport. Free car park in Long St.
Frontage on main road gives no indication
of what is quite a treasure-trove reaching down through rooms full
to the brim of interesting titles. Muddled, musty and somewhat eccentric
but worth a stop if you are passing. Junk room a must for railway
buffs. - Chris Harte 03.09.09.

What I expected to find and what
I found were miles apart. An old building where the humidifiers
were working full blast in the basement to try and prevent books
Oxfam would decline rotting away. The owner had a number of titles
I had on my 'wants list' but his prices ranged from eight to ten
times what I would normally expect to pay. He had, obviously, Dylan
Thomas, material but little else. My special trip was a total waste
of time. - Chris Harte 12.11.09.

Good stock, well laid-out and reasonable

close to the excellent Gannet's Bistro! - Daedalus 25.06.09.
A large stock with good turnover including
recent publications spread over two floors. My favourite in Aber.
